I was browsing on Sephora’s website the other day and since so many things caught my eye I thought I’d share a few of them with you.
I’ve never tried any of the Sephora brand lip products, but this nude shade is just SO pretty I couldn’t resist falling in love with it.
I bought the Two Faced Peach Sweet Peach Palette the other day (swatches coming soon!) and I wanted to get this too, but it was sold out by the time I got online. The blush and bronzer shades in this palette look absolutely beautiful.
Sometimes when I look at sampler kits not everything really grabs my attention, but not with this one! All 7 items in this kit I would really like to try…especially the Bobbi Brown Retouching Face Pencil in Illuminate!
This shade of pale pink is a color I’ve been looking for. I haven’t tried anything from Bite Beauty before, but the reviews seem pretty good so I’ll have to see what else they have to offer and they have a ton of shades too.
I have (and really like) a few makeup products from It Cosmetics, but I haven’t tried any of their skin care items yet. This eye cream helps with puffiness, brightening and fine lines…um YES please!!
Ok, so there are a few items that caught my attention at Sephora. What have you bought or wished for recently at Sephora?
I ran out of my usual night-time moisturizer a few months ago and decided to try something new. I sometimes wonder why I switch my skin care routine up when it seems to be working fine and isn’t breaking me out, but I think I’m always on the hunt for something that will make my skin look and feel even better (do you do that too?). Anyway, I was looking for an oil free, lightweight moisturizer to use at night and came across Philosophy Take a Deep Breath. It is oil free (check) and lightweight (check). An added bonus it that it wasn’t horribly overpriced ($35.00 for 2 oz, but it doesn’t take much so I can see this lasting awhile). According to Philosophy’s website they say :
“helps diffuse energizing oxygen for glowing skin
blend of antioxidants helps protect skin against environmental attack
provides oil-free, lightweight hydration”
After reading a lot of reviews that were all positive I decided to give it a try. I’m very happy that I did because I really love it. It’s has a very lightweight, whipped texture that feels really nice on my skin and it’s oil free (which my oily skin appreciates). It sinks into my skin right away and doesn’t make my skin feel oily or shiny. I have been using this nightly for about 2 months now and it hasn’t caused my skin to break out and isn’t full of fragrance.
I bought this to use at night, but have noticed I’ve been reaching for it in the morning too. There is no SPF in this moisturizer, but I did notice their website has a version with SPF 30 that comes in a squeezable tube. I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s definitely something I can see myself purchasing in the future. Have you tried this moisturizer? If so I’d love to know what you think of it.
Have a great day!
I have tried a lot of skin care through the years. I’m one of those people who is open to trying new things even if I’m happy with my current routine because I’m always on the look out for the next best thing! I have switched my makeup remover, cleansers, eye creams and moisturizers through the years. (With that being said, I have stuck to my current skin care routine for a little over a year. I have heard things about Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair for a few years, but for some reason I never tried it. A little over a year ago I read about it in a magazine and it peaked my interest. The next day I blog I read did a rave review about it and so I did a little online research to see what others thought about it. I read reviews from people with my skin type (oily, acne prone skin) who said it didn’t cause any breakouts or excess oil and then I really wanted to try it! I looked through my stash of samples and actually found a sample of it (yippee!) I used it that night after I washed my face, prior to applying my moisturizer and I was pleasantly surprised how little of the product I needed to use and how it just sunk into my skin and left no residue behind. The next morning I woke up with no new pimples (thank you , thank you). After using it for 3 weeks I started to notice my complexion looking smoother, softer, and my skin just appeared clearer. After my sample ran out I purchased it and it has been a part of my evening skin care routine ever since. I know everyone’s skin is different and what works for me might not work for you, but look at some reviews and try a sample and see what you think. I have been extremely happy with this product and it is the one constant in my skin care that I will not do without! I would love to know if you use Advanced Night Repair and what you think about it! I love it!!
I know it sounds funny, but I kinda enjoy my bedtime routine. It feels so nice to wash away the day (and makeup!) and have a nice clean face. I first remove my eye makeup with my Lancôme Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover. After that I use Garnier Refreshing Remover Cleansing Towelettes to remove the makeup from my face. Next I use my Alpha Hydrox Foaming Face Wash with my Clarisonic to cleanse my face. After that I use a Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pad (they smell like peach bellini’s…yum) and follow that with my Estee Lauder Advanced Time Repair Serum. Next I apply Skinceuticals Renew Overnight Oily Moisturizer and lastly I apply Estee Lauder Advance Time Zone eye cream to my eye area. My skin feels refreshed, moisturized (but not oily) and I’m ready for bed!
I know it might seem like a lot of products, but I swear it doesn’t take me an hour to do all of this! I will be reviewing each product I use in the next coming weeks so be on the look out for that! Also, the Estee Lauder eye cream I’m using at night is a sample I received. I still haven’t found an eye cream I love so if you have one that you love please tell me about it!
