My Monday Mani

Essie Viva Antigua

Okay let me start by saying that green nail polish isn’t something that I usually wear, but I thought it was a fun color so I went for it! I like that it has a shimmery look to it so it doesn’t seem so harsh, and like every Essie nail polish it applies evenly and easily! So this isn’t a shade I would probably wear on my fingers on a regular basis I thought it was a fun “pop” of color that I’ve never tried so I decide to go for it! (I will say that I think I like it better on my toes vs my fingers.)

On a positive note, my daughters both absolutely LOVED it so I know this shade will not go to waste:)

Have a great day!

Mani Monday!

I’m really loving the color I have on my nails today!  It’s Deborah Lippmann She Wolf (love the name!).  In the bottle it has a brown tone…

But I think on my nails after I applied 2 coats it seems to have a great neutral, milky taupe tone with a tiny hint of plum to it…

Deborah Lippmann’s website describes this color as a “full coverage taupe” which I think is spot on. I really like the wearability of this shade with everything in my wardrobe; it’s one of those great neutrals that just matches everything!

Have a great Monday!

Mani Monday:)

Happy Monday to everyone!  I hope you all had a great weekend.

I tried a new nail polish from Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy Nail Enamel for my mani this week that claims to be similar to gel nail polish (when used in combination with their ColorStay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat), BUT is suppose to be easy to remove.  According to their website…

Revlon’s Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Enamel is a longwear nail enamel with a gel-like shine. Flawless, salon quality color with life-resistant wear.

  • Vivid color and brilliant shine!

  • In 30 easy to remove shades.

  • Wide angle brush wraps nails and coat tips for smooth bubble free application.

Here is what I got…

Here is how it looked on my nails after I applied 2 coats…

It ended up being a little more sheer than I hoped it would be, but so far the wearability (not sure if that’s a word or not!!) is really nice.  I put it on Saturday afternoon then went to dinner later that night.  Sunday I  spent most of the day running errands and so far no chips:)   I’ll let you know how it holds up during the week.

Have a great day!

Monday Mani

Sorry for the lack of posts these past few weeks.  I went to Chicago with some friends last weekend and then my kiddos were on Spring Break, but now I’m back:)

Today was such a pretty, sunny day that I decided to go with a pretty pink that screamed “SPRING” to me.

Essie “flowerista”

This shade is one from Essie’s new Spring 2015 collection that I picked up today from Target.  I couldn’t wait to get home to put this pretty pinkish purple color on and then I topped it off with my new favorite top coat.

Actually it’s more than just a top coat, its a base coat, top coat and nail strengthener in one…genius!

Happy Monday!

Mani Monday!

Here are my freshly manicured nails for this cold Monday morning here in the Midwest!

Essie Topless & Barefoot

Today’s manicure (Essie Topless & Barefoot) is a great milky beige shade that adds a hint of color to my nails.  I applied 2 coats (I put it in on my toes too!) and I really think it’s a nice change from the darker colors I seem to wear a lot; especially during the fall and winter.

What color are you wearing on your nails this week?   I’d love to know!  Have a great day.

Mani Monday!

Happy Monday to you all.  I hope you had a great weekend and your Monday is off to a good start!  I went with a classic red nail for my mani this week.  It seems like forever since I’ve done a color like this so it was a nice change for me.  When I went into my nail polish container I think I seriously pulled out 6 reds that look almost identical (oops!).  Anyway, back to my nails…I’m wearing 2 coats of Essie “Forever Young” with Julep “Freedom Polymer Top Coat” on top.

There is something I really love about wearing a simple classic red nail polish and every time I put it on I feel really pulled together and classic looking! I’m ready for my week (my red fingers are crossed that I can stay chip free at least until Thursday)!

Have a great Monday.

Mani Monday!

Today I put on Zoya “Dillon”.  I thought it was a pretty spring looking green!  I also got a beautiful sparkly color that can be worn over any nail color (it has pretty flecks of pink, blue, green and coral) also by Zoya in “Monet”.  I believe these colors were part of their spring collection.  I put the shade “Monet” on my ring finger only and thought it was a nice change of pace for me!
