My old drugstore hair dryer stopped working when I was in the middle of drying my hair (gasp!) and I decided to shop around a bit before replacing it.  (I thought since I spend quite a bit of money every 6 weeks seeing my hair stylist I probably should invest in a better hair dryer then I was currently using!)  Wow…I didn’t realize how expensive hair dyers can be and seriously thought about just running to Target to get a new one instead, but then I came across the brand T3 and I found a hair dryer that caught my attention.  After reading some of the reviews (cause I always do this…do you?) I decided to buy the Featherweight 2 which claims to promotes fast, healthy drying hair and helps to reduce frizz and enhance body.  (It also has 3 heat settings and 2 speed settings and whisper soft operation.)  I’m not going to lie, I didn’t know if I really believed that it could follow through with all of the claims, but the thought of a hair dryer possibly being able to do that was enough for me to order it (even with the $200.00 price tag)!

My hair dryer came in the mail the other day and I purposely waited to take a shower the day it was being delivered so I could use it!  As soon as I took it out of the box the first thing I realized is that it was really lightweight!  After I showered I used my usual heat activated styling cream and dried my hair.  I was AMAZED at how much faster my hair felt dried and what stuck out in my mind is that my hair didn’t feel hot from the heat of the hair dryer (I used medium heat).  My hair didn’t look as frizzy as it usually looks and it dried in so much less time.  (No wonder this is one of T3’s bestsellers!)  Well, needless to say I’m now a believer that this hair dyer was well worth the money!  Yes I realize it’s an investment, but since I take the time to get my ends trimmed and my color touched up every 6 weeks and then I  use a special shampoo and conditioner to help keep my hair looking and feeling healthy then I probably should spend the extra money and buy a quality hair dryer too!  I’m glad I went ahead and purchased this hair dryer, my only complaint is now my oldest daughter is always using it and wants one for herself:)

Have you tried this brand before?  They have hair dryers, curling irons, flat irons and evenbrushes too which might be on my list of things to try!  I’d like to hear what you think or if you have something else from them that you really like I’d love to know what it is!

Have a great day!

Do you dry shampoo?

I admit I just jumped on the dry shampoo trend at the beginning of this year.  I have received samples of dry shampoo’s in the past and never used them (nor did I throw them away!).  I tucked them in my “samples” box I have and it wasn’t until the beginning of the year that I decide to try them out.  I have read a lot of reviews, watched many YouTube videos and read tons of blog posts about how to use them and the best one’s to try.  After doing all of that research I went to my stash and pulled out Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo (I got a full size sample in an Allure Beauty Box I had gotten in the past & some bloggers I like seem to love it ).  It came in an aerosol container and smelled like lemons (lemon scented Pledge to be exact!).  I wasn’t crazy about the scent, but after I few trial and errors I finally figured out how to use it with my hair.  I learned you must be patience when using dry shampoo (all that sectioning and spraying and rubbing into your scalp and then brushing…yikes)  After I ran out of that I decided to try Suave because so many beauty reviews said it was so great and the price was cheaper than a lot to them out there.  So on one of my weekly trips to Target I picked up Suave Keratin Infusion Color Care Dry Shampoo .

Since I have color treated hair I ALWAYS make sure anything I use on my is safe for color treated hair.  Here is what their website says about it:

Formulated with KERALOCKª TECHNOLOGY, our refreshing Color Care Dry Shampoo is a quick and convenient way to refresh and revive hair between regular washes.

Contains keratin and absorbs oils to:

  • Refresh hair

  • Extend your colored look

  • Extend your blowout

First thing I noticed was that It has a musky perfume scent to, but it’s bearable (my husband walked in while I was using it and asked what perfume I was wearing!).  It didn’t seem to absorb the oil in my hair like the Oscar Blandi did so I tried more…and more…and a little bit more.  Wow my hair felt really gross after I was done.  I used way to much product.  So I tried it again 2 days later and didn’t apply nearly as much and my hair still felt gross.  I gave it a third try and still had no luck.  Unfortunately this product didn’t work for me and I think I’ll be going back to Oscar Blandi.  Yes, it’s more expensive but I don’t use nearly as much and it really did help absorb the oil quickly and I’m able to go all day and my hair looks and feels soft and clean.

Have you tried either of this dry shampoo’s or do you have one that you really like?  I’d love to know about it.

Have a great day!
