I was so happy when Influester chose me* to be part of the newest campaign called “Rock the Lunch Box”! This VoxBox was all about putting together a tasty, fun and healthy lunch or snack. Since we are a little more than half-way thru the school year, this was perfect timing because I think my kiddos might be ready for some new, fun foods in their lunch (or something to eat after school) and I’ll take every opportunity I can to sneak something healthier in for them too! I took my kids with me on this shopping trip so they could help pick out some snacks and here is what they picked out:
First item my girls picked was Annie’s Homegrown Bernie’s Farm Animal Cookies. First off they are adorable shapes of farm animals, so I knew that is why they picked these! We have bought crackers from Annie’s Homegrown, but this was our first time trying their cookies My older daughter said they were “ok”, but my youngest said they were good and asked for them in her lunch the following day!
Honest Kids Berry Berry Good Lemonade. They come in the same pouches like Carpi Sun, but they have 1/2 the sugar of the leading kids drinks. We are a big family of water drinkers, but for school lunches I sometimes send them with juice. They both thought it tasted good and they LOVE lemonade so this was a winner for both of them!
The last item I purchased during my shopping trip was this…
Annie’s Mini Pizza Bagels. These are similar to bagel bites (think of it as the organic, slightly healthier version) and both of my kids thought they were tasty. Made with organic flour and tomatoes these little guys didn’t last long after they came out of the oven. I think these will be a nice snack time treat for my girls and I like that they have protein and are made with whole grains.
So out of the 3 products we used our coupons on both of my girls liked 2/3 which in my book is a winner! I’m glad I got to try some new items and now that means even more choices for my kids at lunch and snack time.
*I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes, but all opinions are my own*
