Is there such a thing as a “flawless face”?

I constantly read blogs and articles about the perfect foundation brush or the must have sponge to use for a flawless face,.  I have always found that  the formula of the foundation is my deciding factor as to how I apply it.  I have yet to find my perfect, “flawless” face foundation and I often wonder if there is such a thing.  I never have had flawless skin; much of my teen years thru my 20’s I battle acne and overly oily skin.  Now here in my middle thirties (yikes I can’t believe I just typed that) I finally stopped getting horrible breakouts and my oily skin isn’t nearly as oily as it once was (happy dance!).  I have acne scarring on my cheeks and when I smile I’ve started to notice fine lines starting to form around my eyes.  People always tell me I don’t look my age and I think my extremely oily skin probably is to thank for that, but at the time what I wouldn’t have done for clear, oil free skin!  I always look for an oil-free foundation and the words “matte” or “oil controlling” always seem catch my attention!  In the next few posts I’m going to review the 4 liquid foundations I have been using.  I’ll also let you know how I apply it.   The foundations I’m writing about are foundations I have been using for 6+ months.  I’d love to hear what your favorite foundation and application is too!

First up…
